This workshop is structured toward helping the student understand the importance of transitions in the Ashtanga method, and learn to establish techniques and methods necessary to eventually master the floats.
We will tackle arm balances from a number of perspectives, fully integrating our arms into a variety of poses and transitions. Some experience with Ashtanga yoga is recommended.
We will review and break down how to approach jumping forward from down dog and jumping back from standing, jumping through to seated and back from seated, and more of the transitions in the primary series of Ashtanga Yoga.
Be prepared to sweat as we review stretches and strengthening exercises, to find your inner strength and courage to lift “up” as you move through your practice.

Join e-RYT 500 lead trainer Natalia Fata for the deep dive into the study of yoga and for an informational session to discuss the intention behind our 200-hrs Yoga Study and Teacher Training program, that will begin in September, 2018. We will discuss our process for teaching and learning along with details about our specially designed curriculum, a discussion of dates and times, requirements, homework’s, skills and practices.
Running for 7 months, our 200 hour Yoga Alliance certified training will provide trainees with a broad understanding of yoga as a practice and a craft, while creating space for individuals to focus on the specific aspects of yoga to which they are drawn – both from the perspective of a practitioner and instructor. The program will provide comprehensive training in the practical craft of leading a yoga class, as well as offering clear guidance on how to work in the world as a professional yoga teacher.

With 2 morning classes per week, slowly build up and have a good foundation for your practice.
For the 1st three months, we will be practicing half of the Ashtanga Primary Series and new poses will be added every week until we can complete the entire series.
Learn the Sanskrit counting, Sanskrit and English name of the poses, Vinyasa Count, Opening & Closing Mantras, Bandhas, and Drishti with proper Sanskrit pronunciation.
Handouts will be given. This class cum workshop will empower you to have your own practice, explore, and go deeper into the Ashtanga method. Practice on your own on other days or **attend Inspire’s Ashtanga Led classes.
