Fit for Life Four-Week Series

As part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, we’re excited to introduce the “Fit for Life Four-Week Series,” a dynamic event that delves into the four fundamental pillars of health. Each week is focused on a different aspect, including Fuel/Nutrition, Sleep, Movement, and Relaxation, guiding you toward a healthier, more balanced life.

Week Four – Relax: The concluding week is devoted to the art of relaxation and effective stress management. We are here to guide you in unwinding, offering instruction on relaxation techniques and strategies to help you manage stress in your demanding daily life.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, 25 November 2023, and join us as we explore the fourth Pillar of Health and Wellness: RELAX.

Here’s what you can expect:

4:00 PM – 4:30 PM: The Mind-Body Connection: nervous system regulation and stress management by Marta Moreira

4:45 PM – 5:45 PM: Dog Yoga with Their Hooman by Hilke Meyer

Venue Location: Gate Avenue Zone D, Podium Level

It’s FREE to attend, but you must register in advance since the space is limited.

• Registration starts at 3:30 PM.

• Kindly bring your own yoga mat, a filled water bottle, a small cushion, or a yoga block to sit on during the health talk.

• Please bring your dog’s vaccination book and present it upon registration at the event venue.

• Please ensure that dogs attending are friendly toward other dogs and humans.

• Dogs should be on a leash at all times.

• Dogs should be fully vaccinated to attend.

• Please bring your own poo bags and clean up after your pets.

• Please bring water for your dogs.

DIFC is a pet-friendly community; however, pets are not permitted inside the Gate Avenue Mall but are allowed outdoors such as the Podium levels.

• We suggest arriving 15 minutes or earlier at the parking as it can take a bit of time to walk towards the venue and to register. Please use the external staircase. Kindly refer to the video direction further down below for reference.

• In the event that you will not make it, please cancel your registration online so others can join.

• Kindly read through the event participant waiver below and acknowledge it upon registration.

Waiver/Release of Liability

By agreeing to this waiver, you will waive certain legal rights, including the right to sue. Please read this agreement carefully.

Assumption of Risks:

I understand that participating in the Fitness Hub Week 4 Pillar RELAX Dog Yoga with Their Hooman outdoor event involves certain inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, contact with animals, and exposure to outdoor conditions. I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in this event with knowledge of the risks involved.

1.Health Declaration:

I confirm that both my dog and I are in good health and able to participate in dog yoga activities.

2. Responsibility for Dogs:

If bringing a dog to the Dog Yoga with Their Hooman event, I understand and agree to the following:

A. My dog is safe to be around other dogs and my dog is in good health and has been vaccinated against common canine diseases, including but not limited to rabies, distemper, and parvovirus.

B. I will bring proof of my dog’s vaccinations to the event and make it available upon request.

C. I am solely responsible for the behaviours and well-being of my dog during the event. I agree to always keep my dog on a leash and under control.

3. Safety and Security:

I acknowledge that the safety and security of my dog during dog yoga sessions are my responsibility. I will take necessary precautions to ensure the well-being of my dog and others.

4. Leash Policy:

I agree to always keep my dog on a leash during dog yoga sessions, ensuring the safety and comfort of all participants.

5. Cleaning Responsibility:

I commit to cleaning up after my dog promptly and responsibly. I understand that maintaining cleanliness is essential for the enjoyment and hygiene of the dog yoga environment.

6. Assumption of Risk:

I am aware that participating in dog yoga involves inherent risks, and I accept full responsibility for any potential injuries or accidents that may occur to myself, my dog, or others during the sessions.

7. Emergency Contact Information:

I will provide accurate and up-to-date emergency contact information for both myself and my dog, in case of any unforeseen circumstances.

7. Waiver and Release:

In consideration for being permitted to participate in the outdoor dog yoga event, I hereby release and discharge Inspire Yoga Pilates and Fitness events management team, instructors, volunteers, DIFC, and any affiliated entities from all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, or causes of action, whether known or unknown, arising out of my participation in the dog yoga event.

8. Media Release:

I grant permission for the use of any photographs, videos, or other media taken during the event for promotional or educational purposes without compensation.

I hereby acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions outlined above for participating in dog yoga with my canine companion.

Here’s what you can expect:

4:45 PM – 5:30 PM (45mins): Zumba by Nena Obradovic

Week Three – Movement: In the third week, we’ll dive into movement and exercise. Whether you’re a fitness enthusiast or a novice, we have something for everyone. Explore different workouts and understand the benefits of staying active in your daily life.

Week Four – Relax: The final week is dedicated to Relaxation and stress management. We’ll help you unwind, teaching you relaxation techniques, and ways to manage stress in your busy life.

On Saturday, 11 November 2023, we will dive deep into the second Pillar of Health and Wellness – SLEEP.

Here’s what you can expect:

4:00 PM – 4:30 PM: Synergy of Sleep by Julie Mallon

4:45 PM – 5:30 PM (45 mins): Parent and Child Yoga led by Natalia Fata

This yoga class provides a wonderful opportunity to begin your yoga journey alongside your child or incorporate them into your existing practice. Together, you’ll discover the myriad benefits of practicing yoga together, such as enhancing your physical well-being, nurturing emotional balance, and honing mindfulness skills. The recommended age for children to join is 3 years and above.

4:45 PM – 5:45 PM: Put on your noise-canceling headsets and join us for a revitalizing yoga practice led by Neha Duseja. This yoga session focuses on the ‘Fueling the Body’ pillar of health and wellness. Experience mindful movements, learn essential breathing techniques, and indulge in nourishing self-care that enhances your physical and mental vitality. Harmonize your body and soul as you embrace holistic wellness through yoga.
